WE ARE KOSY
Established during lockdown in 2020, our architecture and design studio emerged from a collaboration between friends and former colleagues in Copenhagen and Sydney, forming a dynamic collective to innovate through architecture and design competitions.
Following successful architecture competitions, KOSY became a registered Australian company in 2022, with Sebastian Grøgaard serving as Managing Partner and Creative Director.
Some of our most recent work includes:
The Oasis, a 5,110 sq.m, 12 story building in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Home and headquarters for Abarca, a prominent Health Tech service provider in the US due to be completed Q4 2024.
The Marine, Business, Research and Innovation Center, a science hub for the blue economy in the Caribbean, to be housed by the non-profit organization Blue Tide. The building includes 4,000 sq.m of research labs, housing and educational facilities scheduled to be completed by Q4 - 2026.

BLUE SKY
We believe every problem has a solution and we love to explore through iterative thinking in the search of the best idea and positive outcome for the project. Through blue sky thinking, we allow the constraints, challenges and parameters to accentuate and inform the identity of our projects.
SUSTAINABLE
We believe everyone has a responsibility to lower the impact on the planet through design and decision making. Our approach to architecture is based on the fundamental belief that buildings need to be part of the solution and not the problem.
COLLABORATIVE
Design never happens in a vacuum. We believe the best outcomes are produced through collaboration and informed design decisions. Working on exciting iterative processes, with large international teams and complex briefs is usually where the magic happens.
HUMAN CENTRIC
We operate at various scales simultaneously, all from regional to human scale. Carrying on the Scandinavian humanist tradition, we believe the best project is a project that is loved.
